Better than a photo
A photo of a receipt is skewed, shadowed and hard to read later, and a camera roll full of receipts is hard to search. Nescanner finds the edges of the paper, straightens it into a flat rectangle, evens out the light and keeps the text crisp. The text is recognised and added to the PDF, so you can later find a receipt by the shop name or the amount.
Your expenses stay with you
Receipts and invoices show what you bought, where and for how much, often with your address or the last digits of your card. Many scanner apps upload every scan to their cloud and ask you to sign in. Nescanner has no account and no servers: scanning and text recognition run on your iPhone or iPad, and the file goes only where you send it.
Step by step
- Lay the receipt flat on a table, with a bit of table around it.
- Choose Document: the paper becomes white and the text dark. Colour logos, stamps and highlights keep their colour.
- Tap the shutter. Each tap adds a page, so a long invoice or a pile of bills goes into one document.
- Tap the stack of pages to check them: reorder, delete or adjust corners.
- Export: all pages become one PDF. From the corners screen you can export a single page as JPEG or PDF, for example for an expense app.
Already took a photo?
Import pictures from Photos or image files from Files, several at a time. Each one becomes a clean scan, just like a shot from the camera.
Start in one step
Say “Scan with Nescanner” to Siri, set the Action button to Scan document, or add the Scan control to Control Center. The camera opens straight away, so a receipt is scanned before it gets lost.
Tips
- Low quality in the ••• menu gives the smallest file, good for email and expense reports. High keeps full detail for archiving.
- Files are named by date and time, for example
Nescanner_20261001143015.pdf, so they sort in the order you scanned them.
Questions
Can I scan several receipts in one shot?
No, one receipt per shot. Each tap adds a page, so a whole pile still ends up in one PDF. Photos you already have can be imported several at a time.
Can I search the text of a receipt?
Yes. Text is recognised on the device and added to the PDF as an invisible layer, so you can search and copy it in any PDF viewer.
Are my receipts uploaded anywhere?
No. There is no account and no server. Scans stay on your device until you share them yourself.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Scanning, processing and export all work offline.
